I want my pieces to look like the forest floor. I gather leaves and flowers from all over Santa Fe. Back in my studio I use the leaves in their natural form along with natural dyes to create silk shawls in various sizes. I like silk because it can be worn in both winter and summer. The veins, color and shape of the leaves are permanently imprinted directly on the fabric, resulting in patterns and colors that are both natural and stunning. Hopefully, when you look at my pieces, you are transported to the forest.
