I am a Mexican American painter and visionary artist. I have lived in Santa Fe for over 25 years. My paintings reflect my dreams. I am inspired by music, animals, and nature. My works are personal explorations. Lately I have incorporated Mayan and Aztec images with my own iconography bringing in the power of those deities that rule the cosmos. The paint itself is a sculptural medium which is alive with movement. I like that I cannot control the outcome. I paint because it is unchartered territory for me and because I have to .
