Glass

Inspired Cultural Symbols

Artist Statement

Because of Parking Issues "By Appointment Only" Contact by EMAIL: ml914@aol.com PHONE: (310) 503-1968 ------------------ After a fifty-year career as an Emmy-winning department head makeup artist in the film and television industry, I have transitioned into a new creative adventure. I am now channeling my lifelong passion for color and detail into the art of glass. My work consists of one-of-a-kind pieces featuring carved glass that is hand-painted and finished with gold, silver, and bronze leaf. I also offer various collections of functional work. My art is inspired by cultural symbols—including Indigenous, Hispanic, and Mexican influences—drawing from the magic of Indigenous Regalia and the vibrant spirit of Day of the Dead traditions. In my former career, I often had to "think outside the box," and I now bring that same innovation to my glasswork. While some pieces may share similar themes, no two are exactly the same. I hope you enjoy the unique craftsmanship of these creations as much as I enjoy making them.
