Linda Ingraham

I am a photo-based mixed media artist who is drawn to metaphorical and surrealistic imagery. I'm interested in creating images that capture a mood or a feeling rather than just capturing a subject. I'm drawn to the metaphorical aspects of an image where the object means more than just itself. I started out as a painter and got interested in photography and digital manipulation. I approach photography like painting by setting the scene up and composing my shots and then later manipulating them. I take different elements that I have photographed and combine them to make a digital montage which I then print, embellish, and mount onto wood panels and coat them with resin or an archival sealer.
