My paintings come from sustained looking at land, light, and the atmosphere that gives a place its emotional weight. I'm drawn to moments when the landscape becomes less descriptive and more experiential, where color and movement carry a quiet sense of presence. Rather than illustrating a specific view, I try to distill what it feels like to stand within the land itself, allowing the painting to hold a reflective, meditative energy.
