Since moving to New Mexico a few years ago, I’ve been captivated by the natural beauty surrounding Santa Fe, inspiring me to preserve it in paint. I love portraying everyday outdoor scenes , whether in my studio or more often, immersed in the landscape itself. There’s nothing quite like the freedom of painting en plein air - feeling the warmth of the sun on my shoulders, the wind in my hair, the scents of nature around me and occasional glimpses of wildlife. It’s the best possible way to truly experience the dramatic scenery of the Southwest. Painting is a lifelong challenge which I embrace wholeheartedly, constantly studying and practicing to refine my work.
