Intrigued by human faces and figures, my oil paintings explore the extraordinary beauty of the ordinary. People going about their day in settings we all inhabit. Finding pleasure and comfort in the small details of a café interior, memories of other well-travelled places. These "everyday" spaces are filled with nostalgia as well as reminders that we are fully residing in the present day. The artworks are sensitively painted in a realistic manner with the intent of drawing the viewer into my world and reminding them that even the simple places and all people deserve to be represented.
