Artist Statement
I enjoy painting plein air and there is plenty to paint in New Mexico. I love the clouds, mountains and sunsets here. I also love painting animals that I photograph first. There are some wonderful cows nearby that I want to paint and also beautiful birds here. I love bunnies too and horses and donkeys. I recently moved from Phoenix and a lot of the birds are similar that I used to photograph on my desert walks.
