Barbara Bowles

I work in two mediums, Photography and Painting ( Acrylic, Watercolor and Encaustic). Spiritual Transportation is a theme through out my work. The photographs of vintage trucks are abstract and colorful. I published a book called Life & Love in Rusty Trucks. The book includes my photographs and stories relating to work life and the wisdom that is acquired over time. My paintings are about metaphor and meaning. The subject ranges from abstract landscape to meditative icons. My work is in the category of Expressionism, I express my emotions in a visual form. I am interested in the healing and transformative aspects of the visual arts. I feel very connected to creating art that is sincere to my human experience. My art has been described as beautiful, poetic, colorful, fun, spiritual and meaningful.
