I nourish and am nourished by my many house plants and I recently completed a large body of pastel paintings in response to the chamisa that grow wild around the outside of my studio. I often laugh about my plans to merge with a chamisa in my next life.

I invite you to bring photos or (if they are small) the plants themselves to a gathering where we honor and share our connections to the vegetable kingdom (as in animal, vegetable, mineral.) We’ll sit together in my studio and chat about our experiences with wild grasses, house plants, bushes, trees, and forests.

Many of my pastels are in response to landscapes and greenery from Wales, to Maine, to Norway and back to Santa Fe. There will be time to look at my work afterwards.
