Cressandra Thibodeaux’s work has been widely exhibited, including solo shows such as Tribal Voices at Fotofest, Sabine Street Studios, Houston (2024); Blood Quantum at 14 Pews, Houston (2024); and Portraits of My Mother at G-Gallery, Houston (2023). Her first solo show, Oil on Water, debuted at Art Basel in Basel, Switzerland (2010), marking a significant moment in her career. Thibodeaux explains," My recent infrared photography series, Fever Visions, was born out of a transformative illness in 2023. During a period of intense fever, I experienced vivid hallucinations that profoundly altered my perception of reality. This series reflects my desire to explore altered states of consciousness through vibrant color, ethereal light, and distorted form."
